The federal Department of Transportation would require farmers to get commercial drivers licenses.

Callers Sound Off on Transportation Dept. Rule Requiring A CDL for All Farmers! - Alex Jones Tv : The proposed rule change would mean that anyone who drives a tractor or operates any piece of motorized farming equipment would be required to pass the same tests and complete the same detailed forms and logs required of semi-tractor trailer drivers. Drivers would keep logs of information including hours worked and miles traveled. Vehicles would be required to display DOT numbers. A CDL in Virginia costs $64 for 8 yrs, or $8 per year, not inc the cost of an instructional class & written test.Because people didn't care about each other, the feds can do this, and always will, after being treated the way I was and still am, I would not lift a finger to help an American. When Alex talks about the farmers, I enjoy it, I want Americans to be treated like shit, have their pants put down and attacked. Americans deserve no respect and deserve to be treated like GARBAGE. the cdl would only apply to farm equipment driven on roads - however, I cannot imagine any of the farm families around my town getting a cdl just to drive 5 miles or less every now and then - I cannot imagine the county sheriff enforcing such a stupid law either
