Here's an interesting tidbit to chew on. In the Middle Ages, someone wrote on how the nobility loved the grandeur of the countryside and the majestic allure of some of the wild animals there... and valued them far, far more than they did their peasants. 800 years later, it's the same crap. They want everyone huddled and cramped together because hey! They want most of Africa and North America to be a wilderness playground for them. Of course I doubt they'd survive two days on their own.
